Schedule of Auctions & Offerings

 

Alex Cooper Auctioneers, Inc. inventoried items located at both hospitals the week of Thanksgiving; starting one day after they closed. After many days of inventorying the items we created a partial list of sale items. We posted the list online along with a catalog for the convenience of our customers. Unfortunately, after just inspecting the facility we were informed that many items that were listed in the catalog were removed from the hospitals; Alex Cooper Auctioneers was unaware of this action.

Unfortunately, because many items were removed from the sale, Alex Cooper Auctioneers will not be able to offer a catalog for the live auction on Wednesday, December 9^th. We suggest you attend the open house on Tuesday, December 8^th from 10-4. Please disregard the partial list and catalog that was posted online; view updated partial list below. There is a large amount of items that will go to sale in the live auction; and this does not affect the Online Auction.

 

Exhibition & Pre-Sale - Open house at both hospitals to view items in live auction; during the open house we will allow customers to purchase the furniture, only. Terms - cash and immediate removal.
Furniture included in offices, waiting areas, patient rooms, lounges & conference rooms.

Note: Come prepared to remove purchased items from hospitals; we suggest you bring tools, carts, helpers & dollies.

Date:  Tuesday December 8, from 10am-4pm.

Live Auction - Braddock & Memorial - The sale will consist of food service equipment, hospital equipment, laboratory casework, all the furniture in offices, waiting areas, patient rooms, lounges & conference rooms, & so much more.

Live auction will start at Braddock Hospital at 9:30am. Doors open at 8:30am at both hospitals. At completion of Braddock we will offer the assets located at Memorial Hospital.  Note: This is a walk around auction.  Auction Date: Wednesday December 9.

Auction Sale Assets include their Hospital Equipment, Beds, OR Instruments; Restaurant, Office, Lounge, Waiting Room & Patient Room Furniture; Laboratory Casework; Food Service Equipment & Supplies; Laundry Equipment; Machinery and so much more.

 

Auction Sale Partial Item List includes: 

Hospital Equipment: Beds used in patient rooms & different units throughout both hospitals (Hill-Rom), over-bed tables, OR & Emergency Department lights, sterilization equipment, surgical instruments, ice machines, hospital monitors, OR instruments and more

Furniture & Office:

Patient Room furniture includes night stands, side tables, chairs, peg boards, televisions with hanging wall brackets, pictures, clocks, pillows, curtains, etc. Several of the rooms have wall units and rocking chairs.

Nurse, Doctor & Waiting lounge furniture & items includes upholstered chairs, side chairs, tables, kitchen tables, lamps, planters, sofas, artwork, lockers and more.

Food service equipment & supplies: Please attend open house to inspect remaining items.

Office furniture & items includes desks, chairs, pictures, coat racks, lamps, file cabinets, shredders, metal and wood shelving, stereo equipment and more.

Nurse's equipment used for preparation and serving food includes microwave ovens, ice machines, different size refrigerators, stainless steel sink units, carts, coffee makers and more. 

Hospital Unit Furniture & items includes chairs, desks, tables, file cabinets, Georgia Pacific towel dispensers and more.

Laboratory Casework & Equipment: numerous modern metal cabinets with resin tops. (Casework dimensions available upon request) Bio-Hazard Hoods, refrigerators, microscopes and more. 

 

Laundry Equipment: Commercial washers and dryers, shelving and more.

Directions to Braddock Hospital from Baltimore / Washington region: go to I-70 W, follow to I-68 W/US40 toward Cumberland, Take to exit 41 for Seton Dr/MD-49, exit and follow to 900 Seton Drive.

Directions to Memorial Hospital from Baltimore / Washington region: go to I-70 W, follow to I-68 W/US40 toward Cumberland, Take to exit 43D to merge onto Maryland Avenue, turn left at S Central Avenue, turn left at Park Street, take the second left onto Williams St, turn right at Hill Top Drive, turn left at Louisiana Avenue, turn left at Cecil, destination will be on the left at 600 Memorial Avenue.
